Do you get frustrated when you submit your C.V. to an agency & never get invited to register or don’t hear back from the consultant you sent it too? Here are our tips on how to get yourself noticed.
Agencies receive countless C. V’s each day! We cannot stress how much your C.V. matters when applying to register with Kensington Nannies. It is the first piece of information an agency has about you, consequently it is important that key information be provided and is a crucial part of the selection process.
A well written & compiled C.V. provides us with an overview of your skills and gives you the opportunity to highlight your experience, certifications, qualifications and accomplishments, it is a representation of you. A sloppy C.V. full of spelling mistakes & incorrect employment dates indicate a lack of care & attention to detail which are certainly not attractive and may lead to you not being selected for an interview.
Most importantly a C.V. should be 100% up to date on submission and have the thread of childcare employment running through it.
It is imperative that you do not misrepresent yourself, it may surprise you to know that fraudulent information on a C.V is a crime punishable with large fines and even prison sentences! A reputable Agency such as Kensington Nannies will perform background checks which includes checking your references and when you are as skilled as we are, it is easy for facts stated in your CV to be verified. Even a slight discrepancy can jeopardise your credibility and reliability.
When emailing your C.V. to a Kensington Nannies consultant, it’s also wise to provide additional information: what you are looking for e.g. Live in or live out work, international, fulltime, part time, etc. and include your phone number so that we may call you to schedule an interview!
