This is a Governess vacancy for a family who are based in Dazzling Dubai, they have 2 vacancies they are seeking to fill. 1 is for a professional Governess (primary education) & the other for professional Nanny (early years) BTW – if you have a friend who you work well with and who would suit the nanny vacancy then certainly share it with them as the Governess & Nanny will work closely together. The Governess will take care of the girls age 7 yrs & 8yrs, (there two younger girls age 4 and 2 years who will be cared for by the Nanny)The Nanny & governess will share an apartment offsite where you each have your own bedroom and bathroom, the apartment is a 5 minute walk from the family’s home located in the Festival city neighbourhood which has the reputation of being one of the most prestigious, family orientated communities in Dubai, with lots of amenities to cater for all interests. The family are expecting a new born in May who will have a maternity nurse to begin with, as time goes on (in about a year) the Nanny will relinquish the care of the 4yr old to the Governess & take on the care of the youngest child in addition as well as the toddler. All the girls are bright and energetic, and very active. The 4-year-old will be joining her older sisters at full time school September 2025. The role requires a Governess who has previously worked with children in their own homes, ensuring that you are experienced at providing academic, social and emotional supporting to young children in a similar setting. The girls have asked for a dynamic, upbeat and confident Governess who is equally happy to manage their day to day development needs. The children wake up early 6:30 am and school starts at 8 am so in term time you will work a split shift starting early in the morning & getting them ready for school, accompanying them to school taking care of any related admin then you will have a break & come back on duty once school finishes and finish up when they go to bed at 20H30 .Contractually you will be on duty 6 days a week up to 12 hours each day. You do not need to be a driver. But you must be a competent swimmer, there is a swimming pool at the family home and at you’re apartment complex. If you have worked as a teacher & in primary setting (U.K. curricular) that would be viewed very favourably, you do need to be good fun and active as these children are constantly on the go and you need to be able to match their insurmountable energy & enthusiasm for life!
