A lovely little role with a sweet and curios boy aged 22 months who loves books, being outdoors and discovering the world around him.. This is a shared and sole charge position, with Mum often at home and keen to work closely and collaboratively with the Nanny. The ideal candidate will be someone who is confident in both settings, understanding when to take the lead while also being comfortable working alongside Mum as part of a consistent approach to the little boy’s care and development. He enjoys reading, exploring nature and spending time outdoors, with the family having access to a private garden. He follows a general daily routine and will sometimes have an afternoon nap. The Nanny will be responsible for creating a varied and stimulating day, introducing plenty of opportunities for learning through play, exploration and imagination. A strong understanding of toddler development and developmental milestones is particularly important. The successful candidate will be creative in their approach, naturally finding new activities and experiences to support his language, communication, confidence and wider development. Someone who genuinely enjoys this age and understands how quickly toddlers develop will thrive in the role. The family are expecting their second child in November. A maternity nurse will support the family during the baby’s first year, after which a second Nanny will join the household. This Nanny’s primary responsibility will remain the 22-month-old boy, although the children will naturally spend time together as they grow, so a warm and positive attitude towards a growing family is important.
