A wonderful chance to become the first long-term Nanny for a young family, supporting a baby girl through her exciting first year while helping her four-year-old brother find his feet at school. With two children at very different stages, this position calls for a confident, adaptable Nanny who can move seamlessly between the gentle rhythms of baby care and the energy, curiosity and growing independence of a school-aged child. The family are looking for someone who can bring experience, warmth and consistency to their home, becoming a trusted presence for both children and a reliable partner to Mum and Dad. As this will be their first long-term Nanny, they are keen to find someone who can establish positive routines, communicate openly and help them navigate each new stage with confidence. Their four-month-old daughter is a sweet little girl who is already settling into a general routine. With weaning approaching, strong experience in introducing solids is essential, alongside a sound understanding of developmental milestones and the confidence to encourage each new skill when the baby is ready. The family would love her to enjoy plenty of fresh air in their private garden, alongside a couple of baby classes each week and outings that support her development. Her older brother is a character with a big personality and a mind of his own. Once he feels comfortable with someone, he forms strong bonds and becomes wonderfully affectionate. The family would love a Nanny who can build that trust naturally while maintaining calm, kind and consistent boundaries. Having recently started school, he will benefit from someone who understands the early school years and can support his reading, early schoolwork and growing independence in an encouraging, age-appropriate way. Confidence in caring for both children simultaneously is essential. The Nanny will need to balance their individual needs thoughtfully, keeping the baby settled while ensuring her older brother continues to feel engaged, supported and included.
