U.K based Candidates Salaries
Salaries can range greatly depending on a candidates qualifications, experience and the duties & requirements involved in each role. The salaries listed below are averages there are always exceptions at either end of the scale. Salaries quoted are net of tax and national insurance (except for Maternity Nurses who are self-employed). It is the employer’s responsibility & legal obligation to pay all relevant tax and national insurance (more information can be found in the tax section).
Nannies
Live-in Averages £500 –£600 plus week (based on a Monday-Friday position 12 hrs per day & 2 nights babysitting inclusive of the net wage Monday-Thursday)
Live-out Averages £600– £800 plus per week (based on a 10 -12 hour day Monday-Friday)
Temp 24 hour cover or Holiday Sole-Charge Nanny £200 plus per day
Weekend Nannies Sole-Charge Live-in £150 – £250 per day
Live-out £150-200 per (10-12 hour day)
Part Time /Temp by the Hour £13 – £16 per hour
Maternity Nurses/Nannies £220- 350 ( single baby)
Salaries for Nannies placed abroad vary considerably £600-£1500+ net per week dependant on the requirements of the position & calibre of Nanny.
